Pleasant Grove Arts Commission Chairman: The City of Pleasant Grove is seeking applicants for the position of arts commission chairman. This is a volunteer position reporting to the city's Arts & Culture Department. The city sponsors an arts commission overseeing five programs and more than 50 volunteers, with an annual budget of more than $ 17,000. Individual arts programs that report to the arts commission include the Center Stage Youth Performers, the Pleasant Grove Orchestra, the PG Players live theater group, the Utah Children's Choir, and the Concerts in the Park series. The purpose of the arts commission is to coordinate the efforts of the individual programs and promote those programs to the citizens of Pleasant Grove and beyond.

It is the job of the arts commission chairman to oversee the work of the commission. This is a volunteer position appointed by the mayor. Successful applicants will be residents of Pleasant Grove with a background in fine or performing arts, as well as a love for the arts and a desire to see Pleasant Grove become a model for community-supported arts.
